Grand Central Station
(located at 42nd Street & Park Avenue) instructions:
Rail Services to CT (Fairfield & New Haven Counties) and upstate NY (Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess Counties)
Hudson, Harlem & New Haven Lines (Metro North Railroad)
1) Note that 3 train lines are serviced by this station: the New Haven, Harlem and Hudson Lines.
2) To Find Your Track number: go to the main hall of the station and there will be large billboards on the wall showing which track number your train will depart from. Make sure you look for the correct train line - they are shown separately. There is an information booth located in the center of the hall's floor if you have any questions. The train tracks are located both on the main level and on the lower level of the station.
3) To Buy Train tickets: can be purchased at the ticket booth in the main hall, or at easy to use ticket vending machines located throughout the station - these take cash or major credit card. If you are running late and need to go straight to the train, tickets can be purchased from the conductor after you are on the train - cash only and costs a bit more when buying on the train.
